Yeah, I quite like the Gaspard de la Nuit and the Miroirs, also Coin des Enfants, mainly Impressionistic pieces, then Romantic, and then a few of the Baroque inventions.

I like pretty much anything, but i do find that Mozart does lie under the hand quite well.
I recently sany Mozarts requiem in Bristol Cathedral with a choir of 200 and a orchestra of 100! It was the most amazing thing ever! tongue.gif

I find the saying true, on piano at least (and flute to a certain extent) that Mozart is easy to play, hard to play well. Except that all except the easy easy stuff is also hard just to play for me laugh.gif but I can totally see where whoever said that was coming from.

I always find it intriguing when people say things like this: what 2 versions?

As for some pieces I like; although not necessarily all of my favourites (and this is to listen to, not that I can play!)...

Ravel's Sonatine
Beethoven's Piano Sonata No. 15 (Pastorale)
Most pieces by Satie
Wedding day at Troldhaugen (can't spell it...) by Grieg
davidyko
Prokofiev's 5th Piano Concerto (if concertos count)
Ravel's Piano Concerto in G major
Rachmaninoff's Rhapsody on a Theme by Paganini
Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor
Ravel's Gaspard de la Nuit
Liszt's Sonata in B minor
Beethoven's Sonata (op. 26)
