I am really nervous about my Grade 3 piano exam tomorrow. I went to my teachers house today and she has made me change my last piece, the day before the exam! Can you believe it!!!
I hate the feeling you get just before you go into an exam room, its horrible, and I know that the examiner is on our side but they always make me feel really really nervous!

Hope it went well and that you had an encouraging examiner! It makes a world of difference!

Good luck from another Charlotte biggrin.gif

Hi Charlotte

I can't believe your teacher has made you change your piece the day before your exam!!! Have you learned all the pieces from the exam book or did you just happen to know that one as well? If you feel uncomfortable changing your piece and don't think you will be able to perform it as well as your original choice then I suggest you go with your instinct and stick with what you know best. Don't worry about the exam as the examiner will know you're nervous anyway and I'm sure you'll be great. Let us know your result when you get it and I hope everything goes ok smile.gif

P.S. Try not to panic and imagine you're playing for a friend or relative, I know it's easier said than done but that's what I did and it really helped!

Ergh that is like the day before my Grade 7 I had a lesson with another teacher, because of circumstances I couldn't control, and he made me feel like I had loads more to do on the pieces, and I had to change the way I did things.

Anyway, I hope your exam went well, you can relax now!
