I have an audition in june/july (don't have the date yet) for my county youth wind band, and I have to play 2 unaccompanied contrasting pieces. For one of them, I'm going to play danse de la chevre, by honneger (if thats how you spell it) but for the other piece, my teacher has told me to choose between orchestral excerpts of daphnis et chloe, william tell and peter and the wolf. I've had a quick play through all of them and I like them all- which ones do you think would best show off tone/technique etc in an auditon situation?
