I have finally chosen my pieces for grade 6 flute which will be in June. I am playing the Telemann D minor, Gaubert Madrigal. and the Presto from 76 Graded Studies. Thanks for all your suggestions, they were very helpful. I have not been able to practise recently, but my exams are finally over, so I will practise hard in the next few weeks.

Is anyone else doing a flute exam next term?

Grade 6 - though almost certainly not until Christmas unless I happen to find out about a special visit that's happening sooner.

Ah, didn't you say another time it wasn't ABRSM? What board is it. Is this Guildhall?

What's purple bamboo melody like? I saw the music (well I think it was that book!) on JustFlutes, I was tempted just because it sounded so interesting!

Its in a book called Chinese flute solos....

Yeah its quite good. Although there is a lot of acciaccaturas in it... and they're driving me crazy because my flute teacher says "NO! You are distorting the basic rhythm!" blink.gif
