I ordered some music from justflutes at the weekend and it hasn't yet come.... isn't it annoying having to wait to start stuff??! I haven't much patience!

Ditto. I've had to explain to three students so far that their new music has been delayed, and I'm hoping it's here before I see the next one tomorrow. They always used to dispatch the same day if you ordered in the morning, but my last few orders have taken longer (with the exception of one which arrived the next day). I'm wondering if they hold back the order for a few days if they're waiting for a back-ordered item: saves on two lots of postage for them!

Musicroom.com are invariably quicker, but they don't stock all the syllabus pieces for flute.

I bought some music from justflutes today, but isn't really new music, I got a gift voucher for my friend, De La Senorite as a birthday present (£27) and the Rutter - Suite Antique which my music teacher lost. She better pay the £12 it will have cost Dad to buy it.

Yes I get really impatient as well! But topwind are very good at getting it out the same day or sometimes the next day and it comes very quickly!

I realised this evening that I missed a call from them about some music I had enquired after and did I want it put in the package with the other music... argh! I can't believe I missed it - my own fault entirely! I'm kind of hoping they assumed I didn't want it and have posted it anyway, that way I will get it tomorrow morning! I suppose I can be fairly sure it will get sent tomorrow so Friday at the latest...

Sounds awful but I am kind of glad it wasn't JUST me!

I have found justflutes to be the most user-friendly and *incredibly* helpful of the sheet music suppliers I have tried. I should have rung them - I find that's usually easiest and sometimes quicker - but I didn't decide to order till after closing time Saturday night because I was tired and my decision making muscles weren't working at full steam!

My music has just arrived. It came via ParcelForce which explains the delay. I had ordered a book on playing Baroque Recorder Sonatas which must have made the weight too great for Royal Mail. Hope yours comes soon, sarah-flute.

Ahh. I wonder if maybe that could be one of the problems with mine, it was quite a lot of stuff lol

It hasn't arrived this morning but I am going to either email or ring and confirm what's coming, and maybe they will be able to tell me when it's likely to arrive.

At least it's not as bad as waiting for my exam result was!

masses... I was given some money and I needed to get a couple of pieces my teacher suggested for grade 6, so I went a bit mad...

I'm in work (it's very quiet) so I may not remember everything, but...

Mozart Flute quartets - hoping to play some of the (easier!) movements of these with some friends at some point - & Mozart flute & harp - piano reduction - have a couple of good pianist friends of whom I'm hoping one will be willing to attempt bits of the harp part - and maybe I'll get to play it properly someday!

Russell Stokes Jazz Singles - for the exam - had a go through the piece and it's much more doable and enjoyable than I had thought (I'm not that great at jazzy stuff on the piano, haven't tried much on the flute)

the AB Baroque Flute music vol 4 also for grade 6 - the Leclair & CPE Bach, neither of which I had the brain to get my head round this morning.

I know I have forgotten something, but it's quite a haul anyway waiting on a "teaching the flute" book which was recommended and was only £2.95 ...starting a new pupil soon, friend from church...

doesn't take long to go through money on there!!! oh well, three of them were stuff I can count as "I needed it" and I just won't go back to justflutes for a while (I seem to manage to stay away for about 6 months at a time... ) just please no one recommend anything to me for at least the next few months... I have plenty to keep me going!
