.....panic.....

I'm auditioning to get into a music school tomorrow, does anyone have any last minute tips for auditions as I've only ever done 3 or 4.

I have two play two pieces + scales + sightreading.

Also....

Monday= Grade 7 violin!!! The Aural Tests are a lot trickier than I thought!!
Especially Test 7C ( identifying cadences and modulations ).

Also I'm worried that I'll play my scales too slow, because one year an examiner commented that I didn't play them at the right speed for the grade.

Please help! ohmy.gif

Thank you.

Nice big smile but not too over the top, be polite, dont rush your scales - just play them at a speed thats comfortable for you - and anyway, its better to play them steadily and accurately than try and show off (like some people I know!!) and play them as fast as humanly possible - just go in there like its no big deal because it isnt the end of the world!! Just play your best and relax!

Easier said than done i know! Good luck

Good luck, you'll be great!

The trick is: be confident! What some people find useful is to pretend/act to be someone else, if you get really nervous. I'd advise you to go for a star violinist! Just be sure of what you're doing, and smiling is definitely important!

GO FOR IT! smile.gif
