Hi
I need some help!

Im going to take my DipAbrsm Alto sax diploma this july and am having trouble with my programme.
What i have so far is:

-->Phil woods, sonata - (jazz sonata)
--> telemann sonata in c minor
-->Paul Creston Rapsodie.

Right - theyre the ones im definitely doing.

I need one more. I have two options.
-- Demessemann Fantaisie sur un theme original (romantic- 1860)
OR
--Cinq danses exotiques - Francaix (1962)

My problem is this. I would prefer to play the danses but in the syllabus it says that you have to have a "wide ranging selection of styles." Woul having three modern (but completely different) pieces pass as wide ranging? or should i stick my not-preffered romantic piece in their as well?

also - if anyone knows the danses - is it of a diploma standard (its an own choice - not on the list)

sorry for the long post and thanks for your help!:)

I've got the Danses and am playing 3 of them for grade 8

It's on the grade 8 syllabus and you are allowed to play any 3 of the 5 so they are a high standard

Edit - they are also on the LRSM syllabus
