I have recently aquired an Eb clarinet from my local music service and was wondering if anyone out their could offer me some advice on playing it?

I know I need to look at things such as tuning, I would be grateful for any advice you have to offer.

Many Thanks
Mark

Well it sounds a minor 3rd above what's written I think, and it may also play an octave up but I am not sure on that one. I assume it's an Eb soprano? They are so cute!

I've got an 'eefer' and find it good fun to play, although the tuning in the altissimo register is rather wayward! blink.gif

Rather than use Eb reeds, use Bb ones (cut down at the heel so that they fit) because the Eb ones are paper-thin at the tip and are a bit weedy!

I shall try that, thanks very much.

I don't know much about Eb Clarinets, but to plays the clarinet, I thinks that all clarinets' fingerine are the same.

Yes, all clarinet fingerings are the same.
