I am interested in some easy piano music for 6 hands. Has anyone used the Laura Shur series of books.

Can anyone recommend any piano trio for 6 hands?

There are lots of piano duets but need help to find some music for prep to grade 2 for school.

Cheers

Hi there frumpybabes
Yes, I have the Laura Shur trios and have just started to use Tunes for three (the simplest one) for 3 girls at school - the girls are different standards raging from prep to grade 3. The material is quite good - although all but the middle child has to play at least one octave higher or lower than the actual written music. They absolutely love it though and have already put themselves down to play in assembly!
Mike Cornick's trios are much better in my opinion - brilliantly written and work great on the piano - but much harder!
Because of the greater need to listen and be rhythmically strong - even more so than in a duet - a piece that looks around grade 4 seems to need the pupil to be about 1 grade higher if you know what I mean.
Do let me know which one you go for in the end. BY the way the piece my pupils are doing from Laura Shur is Lazy River.
How are the children by the way? Hope you are all well.

The only one I know is "The Secret", might be abit more like intermediate though. Saw it in a festival once.
