I am so addicted to these forums..not a good thing
The forums can be so much less tiresome than real life, and it is lovely to be able to meet up with people who love music and just to play.

that's weird, that number definitely said 10,000 on Helen's at one stage! I remember seeing it...
Yes it did....maybe another post has been added before it since yesterday, perhaps someone is on moderation and it took a while to get added???

Congratulations Nicki and Oddball! Here's wishing you many happy years together! *drinks a toast of coffee to the happy couple*

I think the confusion lies with the fact that helen did the 10'000th
reply which makes it the 10'001th
post, which is why she it says she has post 10'001. It all depends on whether the 10'000th post or reply is the big deal.

Nope, I think the confusion has arisen because several people (myself included) saw her post with "Post # 10000" in the corner and it no longer says that.

No its not to do with the definition of the number of posts. The top right of Helen's post said 10,000 after she posted it last night. This morning it says 10,001 implying that a post has been inserted somewhere before it since last night.
Not that it particularly matters...... (unless Helen was due for an award for the 10,000 post which will now go to Oddball for his wonderful sig). And I for one am not going to trawl through 10,000 posts to see if I can remember which one it is I haven't read

Her post was post number 10000 though; nowit's number 10001. Not that all this is really important though....

Sound yummy!!

Unless they do what they tend to do at my school, which is serve what they SAY is macaroni cheese but is actually 'macaroni cheese with enormous chunks of leeks and halfcooked slices of courgette hidden in the middle'...not such a nice meal..

At least it was better than the supposedly-vegetarian rice that my friend had, which actually had bits of chicken in it! Then these lads who I was sitting with started the 'Ugghh, how can you be veggie, how can you live without meat?' and I was like 'Quite easily, thanks!'

As an ex-veggie I'm horrified at the thought of that. Perhaps if you want the catering staff to take vegetarian food seriously, tell them you have a meat allergy and would collapse if you ate any....
Rainbow
Oct 11 2005, 04:39 PM

crazy_purple_piano_freak
Oct 11 2005, 04:49 PM
No! But i kind of get what you mean because i don't frink and loads/most people i know do and they say dont you feel like getting drunk and hyper now and then and i don't see the point...lol but i suppose thats not the same as being veggie...
Rainbow
Oct 11 2005, 04:55 PM
I might try that, YAP! It would be about the only thing that would work. However, most people at school know that I'm a veggie by choice because I've been quite outspoken about animal rights issues in the past!
I know what you mean, CPPF. I do drink occasionally but don't get drunk because I like to be in control of my own actions. I also hate being the only sober person in a roomful of drunks, which is why my friends don't invite me to their huge drinking sessions
