Hi Sarah, Jo
Have you driven far yet Jo?
Am
BORED!!!!!!!!!!

Furthest I've been is Cambridge and Ely which are both 12 mile trips. Oh and I've done the trip to Ely at night along unlit fenland roads. I've done Multistorey carparks too. Could do with an hour-and-a-half blast down a dual carriageway. However somehow, I think the twelve mile trip to Ely at night was a harder test.
Can still parallel park too. Can still cope with two kids in the car, but I do get them to shut up when I'm reversing. Oh and I can cope with Cambridge traffic, a combination of bicycles and stop-start traffic, whith pedestrians doing unpredictable things, which I think was an achievement, I recon that second to London (and I driven in many cities) Cambridge is the hardest to drive in.

Oh I'm generally back to being the real me. I live with by "disability", but I don't let it stop me living. Its funny, singing offers me a release. I suppose that's why I get so crabby when I can't do it.

Good for you, Jo. I've only driven in London once...which resulted in me being followed by some irate fella blowing his horn and flashing his lights at me. He made me pull over and then accused me of cutting him up!!!

Never again! And Croydon is a nightmare too with the tram lanes...

Speaking of top Es DC, I ought to do some practice. Some good sirening exercises should get me up there and keep the middle in trim too.
With three arias requiring them at present, I've got to do some work on keeping all of my voice in trim.

Hmm...practice....I knew there was something else I had to do today.

Morning Nicki. Is this with a new flute teacher?
No, this was last one with current teacher. I'd just not done enough practice, so my own fault. So sounded particularly c-ap.
Also a bit annoyed as got a 2.2 in one of my essays. I knew it was bad, but not that bad. My marks are all over the place now, from that 2.2 to a first. Rahhhh.

I had to have a rest break after I'd practised. I'm trying to get through the day on as few a pain killers as possible, and the only way I'm able to manage that it to have complete rest in the middle of the day.
Now lets see if this super-duper stain remover I've got is going to remove green paint from my son's school jumper. I have had enough battles with him about wearing aproons when painting and how difficult this task is. When is he going to listen.

How is it being back in England fsm?
jod
Jan 25 2008, 09:46 AM
I will do. My chest problems connected to the fibro are muscular, it is Chostocondritis, and it hurts, but my lungs are not being destroyed underneath.
I try to stay positive and get on, and I ought to do a couple of bit of paper work then some gentle practice, and I'm sure things will feel much better.

Jan 25 2008, 10:18 AM
Well one of those "Gentle pieces" of Paperwork is my Tax return. Oh I've completed it all bar one number, the amount of interest paid on a savings account hubby took out in my name, oh and that I don't have immediate access to the financial records. Soon as I have that one Number its in the post first class. As its a nil return no cheque requires straight back to to inland revenue. The other thing ins my Class 2 NI return, thats easy, sign the cheque and send it back. It's an Inland Revenue day to day.

QUOTE(sarah123 @ Jan 25 2008, 10:29 AM)

Everyone moans about them as if they're some mythical beast, but compared to UCAS forms and Benefit forms, theyre a piece of cake, particularly if you've got a good accountacy mind on you. I do all my own accounts and have learnt the Tax Rules for being a sole trader. It wasn't very difficult. My main aim is to file as low a return as I can each year. I deliberately don't have a "company car" as I get a better deal under the the " with profits scheme" for using my own vehicle and claiming mileage back that way for example.
The only problem this year is not in my business accounts but in my personal accounts. I have one figure I need to declare and no access to it. Grrr. The form is a piece of cake, it's making sure you have all the records to hand that many people struggle with.

yes, that's also the deadline for the payments on account...
mine just disappeared from my account
jod

Mine's a nil return so no payment. Turnover alone would have necessitated a payment but once I'd allowed for expenses and offset of capital purchases it was a nil return.
