Well...the obvious things...went up the empire state, took the staten island ferry past the statue of liberty, central park, times square, shopping... AND....best bit was we got really good seats to see chicago on broadway

Can't remember what happened yesterday really, so i'm going to assume there was nothing good, but today, i've played the recorder all day

This week, i'll be in college, will probable make a start on revision (AS exams suddenly seem very close now we're on the other side of the easter holidays
), have to catch up with the work i missed from the beginning of last week, then i expect i'll probably play the piano and recorder a bit too
Ooo, and best part of next week: I've arranged to meet my recorder teacher on friday lunchtime to go and look at wooden trebles
Exam results will hopefully come some time next week too

I took one of my students for her grade 2 trumpet three weeks ago. Set pieces were perfect. She totally stuffed the scales though. What makes it worse is the examiner was a certain Ian Denley who wrote the scale books!
As for your spare rat, I think two is enough!

Trouble is, the dog is the most stupid animal you have ever met in your life. Seriously! He's utterly mental. If I gave him a rat, he'd look at it for about three seconds, then run around for a bit, then look at himself in the hall mirror for a few hours!

I was going to complain about being compared to a mad dog, but given that i'm currently trying to supress the urge to stick the end of my recorder in my cup of tea and blow bubbles, it's probably a fair comparison

Not quite sure why you'd want to lol, i was playing the recorder with cup of tea on the desk next to me, and it just kindof came into my head I'm not sure if it would actually blow any bubbles though, as most of the air comes out the top :S I think and experiment is required...if only i hadn't smashed that yellow recorder...

I guess the recorder would either not play, or would drop an octave as you'd double the length of the resonating column of air if you didn't block any of the other holes. Worth an experiment!
Certainly the best use for a recorder though!
