I'm alright thank you. I have just plowed through a load of old paperwork and got rid of a lot of it. Why do I find shredding something so therapeutic?

It's a job that's been "on hold" for too long. Now it's done and I can have a nice cuppa. Would you like anything to eat/drink?
SaxFan
Sep 23 2008, 11:44 AM
a glass of red for lunch would be MOST acceptable
yes, shredding is fun isn't it? I have a lot to do, so much that I think a small bonfire might be easier!

That's good. Uni can be quite a big upheaval, but I'm sure you'll find plenty to enjoy.

I'm OK. Feels a little funny being here and not working, but it gives me a chance to catch up with other things.

Hi DaisyChain!
Miss Ross, why is uni so different? Lots of students your age, so must be a bit like school surely? Anyway, I hope it's nice different, not uncomfortable different.
Going to get lunch now, but good to see you all.

Well, there were about 20 people in my year, and there are 2000 of us living here. It's a wait-and-see different. I'm sure it will be fine. Enjoy lunch!

I have a personal statement! Anyone want to read it?!
SaxFan
Sep 23 2008, 03:48 PM
yes go on....
I started watching The Speech ... and realised that was a huge mistake - GB is so depressing, so unreal... he's made most of our problems in the economy and now he blames everyone else "Global Credit Crunch" etc etc
what twaddle

What a rude remark, Ben! I don't think being blind in one eye helps his expression, but I've always felt Gordon means well and he can't help how he looks!
I am happy to look over your personal statement if you'd like me to. Are you applying to Oxford in the end?

you clearly have a caricaturist's eye, Ben
it's not so much what he looks like but what he has done and not done that matters... his positive contribution to the downhill slide of this country

Perhaps Ben was referring to his general demeanour - in which case, I may well concur. Still I prefer him to the laughing hyena he replaced.

So Bristol and York fell by the wayside then. Have you managed to find time to visit any of your choices yet?
