Just got back from Jane and Archie's.
Had a wonderful day, I so enjoyed it (apart from having to get off at Derby station - I got worried I was going to carry on to Chesterfield!)
I took about 14 pictures, have them on my photobucket, so if you want to see then PM me (just have to check with Jane first that she doesn't mind)
I wish I had more days like this, but coming back home, symbolises the reality of school and work!

I have a 3000 word annotated bibliography in a week on Monday which I'm doing on Robert Carver, then another 3000 word essay a week later on any one of the many philosophical aspects of musicology, for which I will probably do critiquing the canon and covert and casual values in music criticism.
Blimey

It's quite a funny week after half-term because I've got school on Monday (31st), then I've got a day off for Target Setting, but I come in for a 10 minute appointment, then I have Wednesday and Thursday at school, and I have Friday off because of Eid.

Eid ul-Fitr ends the month of Ramadan, making the end of the month-long fast.
Because it is a lunar calendar, a full moon has to be observed by at least 2 (?) people. My friend used to say "Imagine if you had to wait to be assured that it's Christmas". That put things into perspective.

The estimated day is worked out, and then you phone the mosque in London who have contact with the main mosque somewhere far away... (I forget where...)
