Why is the weather today so depressing?
diapason
Oct 21 2005, 07:47 AM
Oh, MaggieMay, how well I know that phrase "used to be able to play it"
I will have another coffee - it's earlier than I thought
Sometimes I get really blue when I think of the piano and organ pieces I used to play "sans problem".
I have the occasional "revival time" when I dig them out and try and knock them back into shape......at the moment it's Exultemus (Whitlock)
Any toast going?

Oct 21 2005, 07:49 AM
nicki flute - its because of the pressure - of weather( barometric) and work(amount of)

Butter? Jam? Other?
Well, Maggie and Diapason, I haven't got to that stage yet, more like, I can't pla very much.
Diapason (you know what I am going to say)..where is the Fylde Coast?

I think you're right. Also, I had a REALLY good day yesterday with Janexxx, and today whatever happens will be a letdown.

I wondered when someone would ask.
Look at the map (UK) and find Liverpool. Then directly above is a stretch of coast with Lytham St. Annes at the bottom and Fleetwood at the top......Blackpool in the middle......et voila!
More toast please, that was good.
It's a very wet and windy coast as I munch my toast......and I've got to go out in it.....eeeyuk

It is wet and windy here. Great. I have to go out at about 11.

A slightly belated good morning and a request for black Earl Grey please.
A full day again today; next week will be lovely. No teaching at all.
College at 11 for three lessons, my own flute lesson at 1.30, private flute and recorder lessons from 3.30-5.45, then cook and eat a hasty meal before taking choir practice.

If I'm lucky I'll be home just after 8.

MUST go now! 30 mins car drive to first pupil.
Have a good day. See you all later. Do they serve late dinner here?

Toast - yes - bread or waffle? Honey or what?
It's very wet here too. My morning pupils are going to get soaked.
Ha - ok, see I am all behind with the toast. Never mind.
Like Whitlock very much too. My first organ teacher did too. I'll reply to your other post about cinema organs and straight harmony later Diapason - if I can find it again.

Awww, your day sounds so hectic. I'll keep your dinner warm with Diapason's, I don't think he'll be home early either

I thought my half term (this week) would be relaxing (apart from yesterday), but all I have done is work.

Glad you had a good day yesterday though, Nicki. I find that having a really great day is good because although sometimes other days can be depressing by comparison, it's nice to look back and think about what you did, it'll make you smile and feel better

If you're lucky you'll be better before next week: it's really annoying being ill during the school holidays, if I got ill it was almost always in the holidays

Yes, it's very annoying being ill in the holidays. Ideally, I need to be better for TOMORROW because I'm meant to be doing something with a friend. I dread to think how much GCSE work I'm missing from taking two days off!

Nicki, you are probably right. I've had loads to do recently! The thing with me is that I'll get involved with loads of stuff and not realise that I'm doing too much until I'm either shattered, stressed or really upset! I keep coming on msn but I always seem to have just missed you!

YAY!! HALF TERM!!
Bad thing: I think all buses have personalities and all buses hate me. Monday it was the banana milkshake incident, Tuesday i tripped, and now today it was pouring with rain and i had two files which i dropped on the pavement at the bus stop along with all my bus fare which rolled out into the road and my umbrella too...Once i retrieved all that i managed to drop my file again. Got on the bus and when i was about to get off dropped two files AGAIN and they slid on the floor all the way down the bus, then tripped on way to get them and couldnt get up so missed my stop and bus driver had to stop in the middle of the road to let me off.
