Are you a good memoriser or texts Batty? I used to be really good but not as good now. It takes twice as long or more. I can learn music just as fast as ever though.

I find music easier to commit to memory than words, and always have. My suspicion is that I take longer than average to memorise words for songs...

I use some really good drawing pencils and do portraits and buildings mostly but todays were for one portrait and a goldfinch. I'll have to take a photograph of one unless it will stay still for me. smile.gif

Dorian mode recorder piece should work well. You could add some interesting percussion effects to made it sound a bit more mediaeval.

I'm not partcularly going after a mediaeval sound in particular, just sort of natural-sounding really rather than a rigid structure and cadences etc. Possibly a sort of cross between Rubbra and Vaughan Williams, I'm not sure how best to describe it really. unsure.gif

My week's been okish...thanks. I think I have had a grand total one one worthwhile lesson, so I feel that most of it's been wasted, but, looking on the bright side, I don't have that much work to do now (apart from the physics coursework I'm ignoring ph34r.gif)

We never did any physics that had musical connections sad.gif . We used to do things like optics, electricity and suchlike. My 3% was in an optics test. I think I got that for writing my name correctly at the top of the paper. Couldn't get my head round it at all...
