Nothing for lunch. Just come home from delivering parents shopping and the sun's come out so it's up the ladder for me and try and finish this wretched painting.
Pork chops and applesauce for (evening) dinner though.
Not sure about pud!
Must go......being called to work!

I have just been listening to some music by Mancini.
katyjay
Oct 23 2005, 01:22 PM
I once heard him (Mancini, I mean) play a flute duet with James Galway. If I recall correctly, they did a duet arrangement of the Pink Panther theme, and then Seventy-Six Trombones on Two Flutes.
It was great.

Wow, Katyjay, I am immensely jealous. I heard a flautist called Elena Duran do a whole Mancini concert, it was great

We never had to do anything for general studies, except sit the exam.
nicki_flute
Oct 23 2005, 01:37 PM
We have to do work, which doesn't even count as anything. It is pointless, and I could be doing something better with my time.
cello86
Oct 23 2005, 01:39 PM
Yeah, i got more points from my general studies AS than from my whole two year A-level in French, that I put loads of effort into. No wonder most universities don't count it.

Oct 23 2005, 02:00 PM
I also have an IT Key Skills project to do *deep joy*
Why is General Studies and Key Skills compulsory at my school
cello86
Oct 23 2005, 02:02 PM
They tried to make us do key skills as well! It never happened though. The problem at my school was that the teachers gave up these ideas before the students did.
nicki_flute
Oct 23 2005, 02:04 PM
Well, I have to IT Key Skills because I didn't do IT at GCSE. The thing is, I can send an email (the hardest bit of the course!), use Excel and all the other stuff. Plus, if you pass it gets you:
The equivalent to a C at GCSE level Wooo...
big qualification!
cello86
Oct 23 2005, 02:06 PM
Lol. I wouldn't worry, you didn't miss much. Our IT lessons were mostly spent on the internet. They forgot to tell us until about a month before the gcse exams that there would be a written paper for IT, as we'd spent two years working through the coursework. Also, every year, at least one IT teacher would lose a whole box of gcse coursework, and if you managed to persuade them that your work was in that box, then you were given your predicted grade.

We have to look at the 4 Seasons and look in detail at one other concerto. Also research his life and other general stuff about him
