Nicki, I take it that by "have for tea" you actually mean "invite to tea"?

Well Edinburgh is usually very cold and windy, but not wet. Unfortunately it's been raining for a day or two now.
Sadly you don't get out much when you're a student anyway, especially a postgrad.

Hi all! I've missed all the fun again, and the family are waiting impatiently for dinner while I catch up.
I've just been to a friend's DipABRSM piano recital run-through. It went very well; she's playing a lovely programme. I'm keeping my fingers crossed for her for December.

GRRRRR, the E on my piano is out of tune and the lower D is faulty. I'll have to get another tuner, I could have sworn the piano tuner came last month. To h*** with him, he had no idea of what he was doing.

My piano is digital and i've had it since i was 9 and for some reason it keeps dodging up, like when you turn it on it makes squeeky noises and sounds like a harpsichord so just randomly turns itself off in the middle of the piece!

Probably Central? Same as me - but I'm kind of northeast of Glasgow - more central (it takes me about an hour to get to Glasgow) - which is a pain as far as the weather goes - if the west gets rain, we get it; if the east gets rain, we still get it!!!
