Can we speak in English, my brain automatically goes back to my last French exam, whenever I see any French...argh?
On a revision break, hiding from the cleaner. My exam is at 1pm today, I hate that time, because it means the exam is 2 hours, and then people moan at us because we're late for the buses. Grrr, if we were let out a bit earlier, e.g started earlier then that wouldn't be a problem.

je suis desolée. ah pardon, en anglais? Okay, yeas i hate it when that happens. At our school the buses don't even wait and then I have to get a lift from my mum who finishes work at 5:30. Surely they could start just 5/10 minutes earlier?!
The invigilators are rubbish at our school. In our media exam yesterday, there was just this one guy and he fell asleep. Seriously. He was sat there reading his book and then about 30 minutes into the exam, he was just nodding off. At the other side of the room, they all started chatting to each other (obviously not my side - we know that there's a camera!). Anyways, the other group are having their paper cancelled and maybe the whole of the AS exams! Oops.

Eeep! So they have to do the exam again? Or do they just get 0 on it?!
We have some ok examiners but they tend to talk to each other right near to you which gets annoying.
Not stopping, just printing off an exam paper!

Jun 10 2005, 09:59 AM
they get 0 and a notice to AQA, which could affect their whole exam results. Oh yeas, I also hate it when thier phones go off, or when thewy walk up and down the aisles reading your essays, etc.! When I was doing my english exam last year this really tiny examiner woman (who was the caretaker at school) was looking at the clock on the stage but the clock was quite high up so she kept on walking backwards and suddenly she disappeared of the end of the stage! Funniest moment of my life (except for when we left the same woman on the roof when she went to get a football!)

They ought to take an exam in invigilating before they are allowed to do it
I remember one in my exams (many moons ago now) who was busy knitting. I think she probably completed several garments over the exam period, anyway the click click of the needles was soooo annoying in the exam silence.
Well anyone for elevenses...hot chocolate and choccy biscs???

Sounds good to me. I am waiting for the cleaner to go, so I can have some dinner, and then catch the bus to school.

Hugs to everyone who needs one, including chocolatedog's chocolate dog.
Worst invigilating I ever suffered was a lady who was wearing clogs which had bells on them

She was walking up and down the exam hall, and all we could hear was her feet tinkling.

Well I'm back - chocolate dog (the real one) is OK - she loves the vet!! She was trying to lick the top of his head while he was trying to examine her skin! She's got another 2 weeks of antibiotics and a further check, but she's OK in herself - she's just spent the last hour playing with yet another real chocolate dog (but not related!) She wants to know, does the cafe serve dog-biscuits?

Glad chocolate dog is OK. There are plenty of Gravy Bones and Milky Bones and of course Schmakos inthe kitchen, Archie and Simba have a supply. I'm sure they'll share.
