I don't agree! At least with falling up the stairs you don't land in a jumble and break something or land on your back and bang your head. I fall up stairs quite frequently

and am always glad that I didn't fall down them! Ah well.

I find all this Spanish a little bit rude. If you want to do it, do it via PM, MSN whatever.. don't fill a public, English-speaking forum with your "oh, aren't I clever" gestures..

Did I start the mistletoe thread? Check your facts.
Do the forum rules allude to the fact that the lingua franca of this forum is English? Check it out.
I'm not aware that I am flirting at this moment. Therefore "continual" is an inaccurate statement.

OOPS, sorry MrBouffant, just realised that you didn't start the mistletoe thread. Do you think that you could confine your flirting to there?
I couldn't find any statement in the forum rules saying that everything HAD to be in English but I might start a thread in Spanish. Happy?
And you do flirt a lot MrBouffant and I am getting rather sick of reading flirtatious posts.

Evening all! "Comfort and Joy"'s had it for another year, then. And "Goodwill to All Mankind" looks a bit threadbare as well!
Just got in from the first leg of the Grand Tour. Spent the afternoon going through my husband's late grandfather's music collection, and have two crates of piano music, a bag of violin music and a selection of songbooks as a trophy

. And I hadn't got room to take the recorder music too

I'm sorry if my normally benevolent and effusive online persona has manifested itself in a manner which you find sickening..
For that I apologise. Of course, if such behaviour has been interpreted as flirting, you will no doubt recognise that it is very hard to flirt by one's self... That would look very sad, wouldn't it?
A Spanish thread may well be a very nice idea..
Thank you

Thankyou Rainbow, I'm fine. You need to drink lots of hot water, with a slice of lemon in, if you've got it.
KMT, one of the drawbacks of having missed out on parenthood, obviously!
The downside is, of course, that being the unencumbered section of the family, we do all the travelling. Journeying's not too bad - the M1 was challenging this morning (a car in a hedge just off the Southbound carriageway outside Milton Keynes) but the roads this evening were quiet.
Actually, it was interesting going through my husband's grandfather's archives. He was a headmaster one of whose hobbies was being a choral conductor with a Welsh Male Voice Choir.
And one of the soloists he engaged early on in their respective musical careers is now my singing teacher!
There was a ton of correspondence and a rather nice publicity photo - which I've brought back to give to my teacher.
Grandad-in-law also pottered with the piano, recorder and violin, so there's loads of stuff I'm going to find useful.

Welsh Male Voice Choir... A dying breed not many of them left thanks to a certain iron lady. Ah well life moves on I suppose I used to love listening to them. I once went to see a WMVC @ the Albert Hall with Harry Seacome fronting. They had to turn of the applification because it was just too loud !!

Some of the remaining ones are pretty impressive. The one near us is certainly live and kicking. It seems to be the one way of finding men prepared to sing - most choirs are rather light in the tenor and bass departments.
