The advert should read:
Hello and welcome to the music cafe. We serve a large variety of food and drink, such as chinese, italian and indian food. We are open all the time (?), especially in the evening, when we have a lot of different sorts of entertainment, such as music and comedy.
The customers say "it's fantastic".
hehe thanks for that! ok, so i got the first sentence right - not bad for me!

I have sore muscles because I went to the forest for three days and have been doing so much physical stuff which has really tired my muscles out. My legs feel better now but my arms still reall, really ache. I nearly ripped a finger off as well, but luckily it's still attached. I'm not gonna be able to play my clari for ages now!

All the time = tous les fois (I think, but my French is rusty).
Temps = weather, as in quel temps fait-il?
Hope that's right ... !

Your French I think is right!
Thanks for asking, I am alright, although sad that soon I will have to leave band

. But I FOUND SOME OTHER PEOPLE GOING ON TOUR! (ahem!)
Hayfever is annoying me, my eyes hurt, but they aren't too bad.
What about yourself?

Merci beaucoup Maggie. My French dictionary says that all the time is 'tout les temps' so I was wrong anyway! Au revoir

Oh I'm ok thanks. Pleased to hear the h-f is not too bad.
I gave one of my pupils a mock-exam to-day. Not too bad, except she had totally re-written the rhythm in one of her pieces, and played most of it in 2/4 instead of 3/4. It was fine before half-term, it seems to have happened since we started trying to speed it up a little. We have 2 weeks anyway. Everything else was fairly ok.
You must be more than halfway with your gcse's by now?
Good that you met some others who are going on tour !!

My hayfever has been quite bad recently. Can anyone recommend suitable products to use? Next time I'm in town I'd better go to a chemist and see what they recommend.

Have you tried using a metronome in her lesson as she plays so she can hear she is doing it? Or tried speeding it up gradually and seeing where the point is where her rhythm changes?
Yeh, I am more than half way through my GCSEs, only 5 more to go.
Rainbow - I use Neoclarityn, but it was prescribed by my doctor though.

is this because of the no advertising? cos im not sure if that just means advertising your own things or not - hmm.....

Well, it was more a problem that the rhythm never really got going to-day!
We'd used a metronome to check various aspects from time to time, and also 2-3 weeks ago to see which pieces needed to go a bit quicker, and I had given her a speed to aim for with this one, sort of moderato rather than allegro, but definitely getting there. Apparently there is a metronome at home, but now she thinks it doesn't work properly and I think this was part of the problem - I suspect it's part of a rhythm section on a keyboard and maybe not a proper metronome. I actually regret having said check it with your metronome!

I guess it would be ok, as it's a non-profit thing. Well, this is the site, you need an mp3 player to get it. (like winamp or something)
If you love 50's and 60's music, try this.

Well my flute teacher told me to bring my metronome next week! I really don't like mine, it is a 30 year old wind-up one, so it slows down. Mum/Dad don't see the point in getting a new one either.
Ahh, yeh, metronomes on keyboards aren't great. When is her exam?

I got it caught in a chain when I was trying to get across a series of tyres hanging on chains. I then fell off the tyres and my finger stayed in the chain and it nearly got pulled out of the socket in my finger. It hurts, but it's getting better.

Well thank you. So do I ! And thanks for the vote of confidence - the more I teach though the more I think I've still got to learn about teaching ... We'll see. I think maybe she was a bit surprised to get a mock-exam to-day; but it's a good chance to get some of the nerves out of the way. I still gave her a pass, albeit not a very high one. So maybe it didn't dent her confidence too much!

If she plays as she did today she'll make about 110. If she is on form and focuses as she can sometimes she could get a merit.
