Hello katyjay. How are you?
The sax isn't too bad thanks. My teacher saw it on Wednesday and she thought it was lovely. Unfortunately I had to go to a meeting so I didn't get a lesson.
How's your violin? Hope the new strings are ok!!

Yes, thanks, the violin's beautiful. The new strings made a tremendous difference. Have you entered yourself for Grade 1 yet? I have, so now I just have to do a sponsor form and
demand money with menaces persuade people to sponsor me.

KJ, I know this is set out somewhere else in the forums, but just as a reminder for moi:
a. where will the sponsorship go to?
b. is this a spring session only challenge or can we do a Grade 1 anytime this year..
thankies!

No, not yet! I sort of entered myself for another exam though. I'll decide when I see my teacher on Wednesday. I've reached the chapter on dotted crotchets in the tutor book! Woooooo!

Hi Mr B. It's on the General Music forum somewhere, a thread started by Andante-in-C. I think we can each choose the charity we will raise money for - I'm fiddling for Cancer Research. And I think we decided that it could be any session (within reason).

Sort of? That sounds a bit like Mr B accidentally entering himself for Grade 6 theory.

But you haven't completed the set yet, have you? (and I'm assuming that your impression of this morning is the typical forum-style "I was disappointed" post, and that you'll have the LLCM shortly)

At some point there has to come a "correction" and this may be it... I've enough experience in these matters to have a pretty good feel, and although I am naturally very critical of my performances, I fancy a kick in the pants is what is coming in the post next week... If I'm wrong and I pass, I'll happily sponsor you twenty quid for your grade 1 challenge....
