Morning Carol. There's some tea going if you'd like it, so help yourself.
noodle, will you (and everyone else) please stop challenging me to enter exams! I might be doing Grade 6 theory in March (see YAP's Grade 6 Theory challenge thread for the latest on this), but the only Grade 1 exams I could do in the spring require either an accompanist or an instrument or both. Oh, and a few lessons in most cases! I've never actually done a Grade 1 though - grades 1 and 2 didn't exist for clarinet when I started, and I leapt straight in at Grade 2 piano.
mrbouffant (when you read this), how about when you do your Grade 1 clarinet we both do the exam then, accompanying each other? That should confuse the examiner!
katyjay, I like your thinking regarding housework. I was devastated not to get a cleaning lady for Christmas.

Good morning Bb Clarinet. I am fine, thanks.
Deborah, while doing your Grade 1 clarinet would be a good way of getting another piece of paper, I'm afraid it wouldn't count for the Challenge - it has to be an instrument you don't already play. Sorry

We had a cleaner for a while. And then he died of a heart attack

And we couldn't find another one we liked, so housework got dumped.

Sounds like an Agatha Christie. maybe we should start another story thread: Body in the cleaning-cupboard.

Was this before or after you started violin lessons? <runs away quickly>
Grade 1 in an instrument I don't already play? There goes clarinet and piano; recorder and singing probably don't count either. The one time I tried Husband's oboe it trashed my embouchure for the rest of the afternoon, so what's left? Perhaps I should start a poll...

No, the chap that suffered from the violin practice was the window cleaner. Do keep up, Deborah!

Did I say 2000? I meant 1900! <blushes>
Counting never was a strong point, which is why I have to get Husband to explain Trebor's maths jokes to me. Mind you, the rate that posts appear here some evenings, 2000 pages might not be unrealistic by bedtime tonight.

I've not had exams, but I've been given 2 weeks to get an ensemble performance planned for Module 3 Music, ideas of compositions by Thursday for Module 3 (both modules ALL coursework), redo a Module 3 Geography homework from over a month ago by Friday, catch up on notes from the last 2 Geography lessons and last Module 3 Biology lesson, calculations on enthalpy change for Chemistry on Thursday and *try* start learning Module 4 Music with a friend from my Music set who wants to do the same

We just need to get performances out of the way within the next month and can concentrate more on that

Best not hang around on here all evening then

Talking of which, I'd better be off. See ya later boys and girls, and would someone please do the washing up - there's an absolute mountain of dirty cups in the kitchen.
