Oh no! What do I wear for mrbouffant's clarinet lessons? The more I think about it, the more that trousers seem the right idea.
YAP, glad I'm not the only member of the "Born aged 40" club round here. As a child I was often told "go upstairs and untidy your room, and don't you dare do any of your homework". Oddly, now I have a spouse, job, mortgage and pension, I still feel 17!

No cigarettes in my house, mrbouffant <looks sternly over the top of her glasses>
I'll see what I can do about the dominatrix gear. The figure-hugging stuff is good for demonstrating breathing (you can really see diaphragmatic movement!), but you might find the collar a bit restrictive.

Morning katyjay. Tea would be fabulous, thank you. I'm a bit bleary-eyed this morning as the alarm went off far too early for my liking, so that Husband could catch a train at quarter past stupid to go to a meeting in Milton Keynes. I feel tea would put me right.
Sounds like fun with the heating engineer. Are you having to go to the library or shops just for some heat?

Morning mrbouffant. Hope your dreams weren't too unpleasant after YAP's last!
Dreams are funny things. If I do dream I don't remember them, except for one occasion when I was at school, where two night running I dreamt that I'd broken my leg and had to use a wheelchair at school. On the third day I broke and dislocated a finger playing netball (cue theme tune to "The Twilight Zone"). On the minus side it seriously hampered clarinet playing for a while, but on the plus side, no PE for six weeks

You coming to the Adult Learners' concert?

Actually, the difficulty lies in obtaining them, rather than anywhere else. I think the easiest way of getting to Bayreuth would be to wow the public with my Sieglinde rather than actually try to book tickets! Marrying into the Wagner family is another option but they seem to have this habit of regularly falling out with each other and banning each other from the Festspielhaus.

Do your practice outside the library, and have your case open on the ground, seeded with a couple of 50p pieces. Might help to pay for a bag or two of sugar on Monday.
You'll probably need fingerless gloves though; I know I can't play in real gloves, and mittens are a definite no-no, especially if they're on string and threaded through my coat.
