Right, it's time for a mid-morning cuppa, so the kettle's on. Who wants what?
Deborah
Jan 27 2006, 10:40 AM
Assuming the water's not gone cold by now, I'd love a cup of tea.
Quiet in here this morning, isn't it?
katyjay
Jan 27 2006, 10:41 AM
I can boil the kettle again. Tea coming up.
Remarkably quiet, yes.

Where is everyone today? It looks as though I might finally get a chance to do some of that washing-up though!

They probably heard me practising earlier and ran away! I don't know what's happened to my intonation this morning - if anyone finds it could they give it back, please?
Deborah
Jan 27 2006, 11:10 AM
<peers inquisitively around the stack of dirty mugs which have built up in the kitchen> Sorry, no intonation here, but I'll keep looking.
It's a long shot because they've been missing for ages, but if you find my marbles, let me know.

We had a marble hunt in here before Christmas. I think FluteandBassoon found some, but I don't know whose they were......
Morning YAP!

Jan 27 2006, 11:12 AM
Morning YAP. Glad to see that JANet's well today.
katyjay, do you know what happened to those marbles? I doubt they're mine, but it's always worth looking to see. Perhaps someone should set up a Forums Lost Property Office.

Morning all.
ntserver 1 is a bit temperamental at school, might not be on much today.
YetAnotherPianist
Jan 27 2006, 11:15 AM
It raises the question: if one has lost one's marbles, can one acquire someone else's as a substitute?

Baroque ensemble today; I really need to get some harpsichord practice done this afternoon if I want to stand a chance of being ready for grade 8 soon....

It was about pages 1412-1416 of this thread. I think we concluded that they might have been Happygirl's marbles, as they weren't mine. But there's a picture of them, so they might be yours.

I don't think they're mine, but it's been so long since I saw my own I can't remember what they look like.

Jan 27 2006, 01:04 PM
Hi Bb Clarinet, I'm fine (well, it IS payday!). The washing-up's nearly finished, so if you could grab a tea towel and help with the drying-up, that'd be fab.
How are you this afternoon?
Bb Clarinet
Jan 27 2006, 01:07 PM
Consider it done. Put your feet up. I'm fine thank you. Finally glad the exams are over. I have a lot of sorting out to do though, so I expect to be making life-changing decisions soon. I hate that. But on the other hand, I get to see my friends, who I haven't seen for a while, in February half-term holiday. I'm quite excited about it and it makes me feel that I have to work hard at school so I have something to reward myself with.

Jan 27 2006, 01:11 PM
Always happy to put my feet up! I'll make some tea first so I can relax properly. Have one yourself to celebrate the end of exams
Sometimes, the life-changing decisions are easier to make than the really small ones. Hope it works out for you.
My friends are all over the country, and I can go for months without seeing some of them, but it's always good to see them again. With a combination of post, e-mail and phone calls I still keep in touch with them all.

Yes, I don't think I'll ever get over the hand-written letter. It's so nostalgic, emotional, etc. I had a 'big think' about my life last night and changes are going to happen.

My friends are all spread out. One of my best friends lives 162 miles away, according to her sat nav. so have only seen her once since this flute course where we met. It is horrible really when I never see them but it makes the times when we do meet up so special.

Nope, it is apparently all the ISP's problem and they are going to ring us back...I've already wasted a month on Smartmusic because I can't register it.
