Oh don't worry, I can be quite gentle really, but I do get fierce when absolutely necessary. If you do lots of practice, remember to bring everything required to each lesson, pay on time and aren't cheeky, I'll be gentleness personified.

i have been playing for about 6 months. i know nothing about music and managed to pass grade one in december ....
a man of your obvious skills will take it in your stride ...
seriously as an instrument it is a jot to play, and if I can learn so much (although it is very little compared to what i have yet to learn) in a relativly short period there is no reason why anyone else shouldn't either!

LOL don't set your expectations high! I fancy the main problem will be trying to keep the optical cortex and the motor synapses synchronised.. reading the music will be a doddle, getting the fingers and the wind to realise it will be more difficult!!

The usual problem of reaching a reasonable (or in your case, extremely high) standard in one instrument then starting another from scratch. I found piano extremely frustrating at first, because it was just soooooo different to clarinet (where I was around Grade 6). All of that two lines of music, strange clef, independent hands, being able to use any finger for any note stuff threw me for ages, made worse by the fact that on clarinet I could laugh in the face of the melody line of my piano pieces.

If you zoom in a bit and line up the peaks on strong beats that might help .
