I'm glad you had a good holiday! I really liked Crete, but made the mistake of going in August when it was rather warm - about 40 most days.
Sax not too bad thanks. Learnt 3 new high notes this week, and I can play Land of Hope and Glory! Woooooooo!

Know the feeling. Theory notification (grade 6) arrived today, and I've already been told when my grade 5 piano exam is - my teacher's adding me to her old school's special visit. And I've realised that it's less than a month until my London recital, and I still haven't had my recorder exam date yet......
I think I'm beginning to fret again....

You work really hard, KJ, and I know you'll get everything to a high standard. Don't get worried like me

Still suffering sausage fingers on the piano though, and need to get back to singing the recital programme rather than just doing other stuff.

Well I'll have band from 9-2 tomorrow, so that is half the day done. I'll do some English after tea, and do LOTS of Sociology over the weekend.
Wobby
May 19 2006, 04:28 PM
Yeah, I guess that would work - Sociology is probably loads and loads of facts like psychology? I'm going to do Music revision today and tomorrow, and then English the day after and the day after that. But I have IT on Tuesday... I've seen the test paper, and I know full well that we don't have sufficient knowdlege to do well on the paper (i.e. we spent the whole 2 years on coursework). I have an IT revision guide... should I work through it, and compromise Music and English Lit, or leave it, seeing as it is a short course (half a grade)?

Past paper - and it's clear we haven't done ANY of it before... But I'm not sure if I should use my revision time on IT, or use it on something which will be a whole grade like Music or English Lit...

Which of those do you find the most difficult? Which are the most important to you?
There was so much emotion around today..... I think I was one of the few girls not crying! We spent the whole day madly signing shirts and year books (although some people were apparently sent home for wearing signed shirts

)
Wobby
May 19 2006, 04:52 PM
Hmm... I guess Music and English Lit, but I don't like the prospect of having any particularly bad grades on my record - it's just that I think that I probably don't have time to learn the whole course by myself anyway, whereas Music and English Lit, revision time will at least sustain a high grade hopefully...
There were loads of signed t-shirts today too, it's really cool! We don't get our yearbooks until results day, so don't have a clue how I can get everyone to sign them, unless I ask for signatures whilst everyone collects their results... The content on the t-shirts was always a right laugh though! We got to party in our Science lesson, and there was a pop quiz too! Just wish that the whole class had confederated against the one group that won - a bunch of chavs! I would have rather shared the prizes out than see them win! Oh well, I guess they have to be good at at least something in their lives...

I don't want to get bad grades either so I really don't know what I'm going to do. I have a humanities exam on Monday and our teacher was handing out sheets covering things that I'd never heard of today. My leaving book is fantastic, if I do say so myself, I love all the things that my crazy friends have written in it!

May 19 2006, 05:04 PM
Ah, wow, just wish I'd had the initiative to bring one... Oh well, a picture of everyone should do - or I guess I could get them to sign something at the prom, providing it's not too dark!
Anyway, I'd better be off for dinner soon, see you!
