I got your PM Car Expert! Gee how do you decide who to PM? There must be thousands of forum members!
As for Wobby's signature, doesn't that mean he can't ever edit his signature anymore or else he'll be stuck with 240 words like the rest of us??
Car Expert
Aug 8 2005, 03:13 PM
Yes. Because of his absence, he doesn't know.
I PM'd the most popular members only, except for those who I know are on holiday.

Still wondering about the forum member you're thinking of

with, Hulk...
Hmm I wonder who could it be?
Good luck with Guy, Nat!
Better let Wobby know, Car Expert, or he'll be seriously lacking characters for his signature! It's great as it is.

Nat says to tell you all that she is being moderated and can't post.
She also says that she is annoyed because nobody else is being moderated.
She wasn't warned either apparently.

Oh yes I know why. She had an argument with Alibonebone. For how long, though?

- Nat has been moderated for having an argument with Alibonebone!
Welcome back!

Welcome back - we've missed you .
Never mind it being sunny when you left - was it sunny while you were there ???! That's more to the point. Anyway hope you had a great time.

Hi Maggie, thanks for the welcome. It was sunny off and on, and only wet for the first couple of days, so that wasn't too bad. I'm as red as a lobster, so I think it was sunnier than I thought it was (if that makes sense!).
I took my new bass recorder so I could continue to try and learn the fingerings, and ended up playing the bass part of 'Teddy Bears' Picnic' in the end-of-camp entertainment, with an orchestral oboist playing the part next to me! Scary! I only hit a couple of wrong notes, though, so I was pleased with my efforts. I also improvised a flute part over a rendition of the Kinks 'Sunny afternoon' and I don't improvise, especially not in public. It must be the influence of these forums,; I've never been so bold before.

Aug 8 2005, 07:43 PM
Heheh, I remember playing the Teddy Bear's Picnic on the bass flute with a flute ensemble. Well done for being so bold, I bet you sounded really great!

Pleased you had a good holiday andante. You'd have struggled to have got sunburn here - we've had 2 reasonable days out of a fortnight.
Nice to hear that you were brave enough to improvise & play your new bass recorder in public - just shows what a good influence we all are

No I wasn't. How rude. If I get moderated fine - but others involved don't which is unfair and I do not even get told about it. Honestly.

I don't.
Should I do a stratified or random sample??

Dont go all technical!
Do you mean like if you have 100 samples and only need 50 you should select randomly or something?!
fluteandbassoon
Aug 9 2005, 10:49 AM
I don't know! I have about 1000 pieces of data to sort out in excel and 2 hypothesis. My maths teacher did not explain that well and i have been told to do it in my holidays.
crazy_purple_piano_freak
Aug 9 2005, 10:53 AM
Well our practise one was on statistics and estimation. We got a set 100 pieces of data and then had to go and get more from school and then compare the lot. We had this program that randomly selected it for us though, you just put in how many you wanted, and then use the data from excel to create a graph on 'autograph'.
