OK let's try again Nicki ... you said "put the cover inside the duvet" .... whereas I usually put the duvet into the cover (or is that just peculiar to Northern Ireland

)

I understand the feeling, but fluting will have to wait until your hand doesn't hurt. Sorry to be so mean.
No I know

. Doesn't help am listening to some lovely flute music
You need a fife, Nicki - not so heavy, so one handed fife playing is realistic

Hi Everyone!
Don't know whether I will be on when you are all on as I have to go to bed early as I have to get the bus from town at 6:30, which means leaving home by 6. I have an exam from 8-9, a science lab from 9-12, a nursing tute from 1-2, and then a nursing ward prac from 2-4.

Morning

For those who are interested, hand is better - not burning, some but not fll bendability of fingers, still red but less so. It doesn't hurt surprisingly

*listens to brother singing loudly and flat*

Nicki, I'm glad it's stopped hurting and some of the red has gone.
You still need to rest it and not push to bend your fingers until it's all healed up. I would put another cool pack on it and keep it in a sling today.
And very very sorry, but no fluting today.

I bet that's what my whole family thinks when I sing ...

Although I'm trying to learn Come What May from Moulin Rouge to do at a music festival next year

I mean I can do it, but I'm not sure whether I sound OK...

Gah
Been trying to do a recording of the Charlie Wilson to practise with. And at last I get a take that's going OK, and about five minutes in (it's nine and a half minutes long in total) the phone goes and it's my husband to say he'll be late for lunch.

Oh no! Do you have the piano part then? Or do you mean your singing part?
katyjay
Aug 28 2006, 11:40 AM
I've got the piano part as well as the singing part (you need both to practise really) and I've put a practice copy together with the solos as well from the photobucket site, so it's a reasonable practise work.

Afternoon everyone.
Supposed to be catching up on some work whilst the kids are out with the grandparents for the day, but feel I am entitled to the odd break
Went to a lovely wedding on Saturday, lots of beautiful music, and I was sat right by the harpist at the reception which made my day - resurrected my desire to learn to play the harp, although she did seem to have more than the usual number of fingers at times!

Aw.. sorry Nick, I've already voted as well.. not to worry! I'm sure someone will vote for you, there's still a whole week to go!
Glad to hear that the hand doesn't hurt anymore, Nicki. Nurses Ann and Katy will address all your burn problems

Yes, you'll get well faster if you try not to bend your fingers for at least a week. It's still in a raw state inside.

I don't know Nicki, I can't promise that your hand will heal by Saturday. Sorry love, but it might not still want to bend then and it might be more harmful to make them bend in the long run.

But it really depends on how deep the scald is. Did you manage to quickly rinse your hand under the tap the minute you got scalded? Are there blisters on your hand?

This Friday!

I know all too well what the faults are. It's just that you can't expect me to get everything right perfectly in just one week or one session and he seems to be pressing me to do that everytime. I guess that's just not the way to motivate me. I get worse when I'm pressured.
