Hi,
Sorry to butt in but can anyone tell me whether there's any composing at all in grades 3 and 4 theory exam papers? Am asking on behalf of a friend I just spoke to, just now on the phone.

Is anyone else finding the forum rather quiet without GCBS? Wonder where he's got to - is he still being moderated? Haven't seen anything from him for AGES!
He comes on from time to time: according to his profile he was on yesterday evening. I think he posted his GCSE results, but I don't recall any other posts recently.

He's
this chap here. There was a bit of a to-do a month or so ago now, a few weeks after he joined the forums, and he was placed under moderation; before that, he was quite an active poster.

No , you just have to complete a 4 bar rhythm. Grade 5 you have to compose a melody.

KS4 is not that much harder than KS3......

Sep 5 2005, 04:16 PM
No, I suppose it's not as bad as GCSE to AS, but you don't have as many subjects... but there's also more work involved so I don't know which is worse
nicki_flute
Sep 5 2005, 04:18 PM
Even though there are less subjects, A Level seems much more demanding. We'll be having practice History tests every week I think, and there seems to be so much information you have to learn. Also, you have to write in particular ways, A Level marks are much more harder to be gained.

Uniform, new year, new rules. I was lucky the teacher didn't see me. Usually on the feild we can have our shirts untucked, boy was it a suprise when the teacher came with the new 'notepad' things. Just like traffic wardens in every way. Everyone hates them when they give you 'ticket'.

At my school they have 'skirt checks' to check that your skirt is not too short, but im last in the register so i can roll mine down before they get to me!! Left to their normal length, skirts go down WAY past your knees...one girl rolled hers right down once and they said it was 'perfect'...
Sometimes (very occasionally), teachers can be ok...but yes we hate nost of them!!

Umm...well it's a café where you can get a job (with, might I add, absolutely excellent pay), sit and eat, listen to music, be entertained by the entertainers, grab a drink from the bar, ask the chefs you whip up anything you like, complain about general work/school life, play on the Grand Woohoo Deluxe in the corner... in other words, quite alot!

Umm... there is an absolutely HUGE list of jobs around somewhere, I think Car Expert has the most updated version - he keeps track of who I have hired in the café - I'd watch out though - he's slightly... deranged, with his imaginary penguin named Bob.
Only joking Car Expert! - Not that he's actually in the café where he should be!
