Hi everyone. Finally have electricity back - it went off yesterday evening about 10pm in the storm & is only just back on. I dread to think what the freezer contents are like..

So it's a weekend of cooking it all then...
We're off on a conker hunt now at Belfast Castle. Always a good spot for it after a storm.

I found out a really annoying fact today - I can't get on the forums from my new school...but the AF will work fine!
I can't get onto any of the forums at my school - have been blocked...
I also found out an annoying fact: the forums are back to normal for me, but now the AF is being slow!

How is your solo then?

Good! Chemistry is fun. Until you know what's actually going on

My dayt was good today. Double maths not too bad!

Sep 22 2006, 04:38 PM
Double math I could handle. A level followed by GCSE is plain depressing.

Rosemary, that sounds awful!

Sep 22 2006, 04:48 PM
hi. It is. I was doing linear and quadratic simultaneos equations in A level, went straight to GCSE to find we were doing the same thing, but so simple I nearly fell asleep. I wasn't tired, either.
Rainbow
Sep 22 2006, 04:49 PM
Couldn't you ask not to go to the GCSE lesson?
Rosemary7391

I have. But then, I can also show my GCSE teacher up, so its not all bad

Rosemary7391
Sep 22 2006, 04:56 PM
Oh yes! Today, my math teacher made the same mistake that he'd been telling us to avoid all lesson. I waited until he got well and truly bogged down with wierd numbers before I told him

But then he deserves it!

Keyskills is so boring. We had to copy out this Powerpoint Presentation from the booklet so I just typed it out again in a weird font.

Funny thing in the Maths department.
Poster saying how you should use correct spellings/grammar/punctuation with examples of how to use apostophes
Next to it, a poster with a graph and "e.g peoples height's"
!!!!
Oddball
Sep 22 2006, 05:10 PM
LOL!
Someone on a news page wrote this - "He is in hospital in Leed's"
I think that's the worst one I've ever seen...
Rosemary7391
Sep 22 2006, 05:20 PM
Thats bad. If I was any good at spelling myself, I'd point all my math teachers spelling mistakes too. But I can't spell 'simultaneous' any better than he can. Too right we don't get on! HE underestimates me dramatically. Imagine the look on his face when I told him I was better at math than science, while waving my science results under his nose....... If he would pay any attention that is.

Why in Spanish?
Oddball
Sep 22 2006, 05:31 PM
One of my maths teachers frequently makes mistakes in her examples; she hasn't taught A level before. One can't expect miracles, but it's frustrating when she goes back and changes stuff earlier on in the question.
