I was planning to stay over at a friends, though my business studies teacher felt that she should give us a section of our coursework to do for Monday, I'm almost done, just got to do two more graphs and a conclusion and that should do it

Hows everything coming along musically?

Very well! Doing more piano now than anything else. Doing loads of performance too, just started AS level music. Changed schools too - larger department, better facilities, more opportunities.

I started piano two weeks ago and already I am finding it quite challenging

Amazing

I couldn't change schools, I'm way too shy, I wonder what it will be like when I go to uni
Oddball

It's OK when you get used to it. At least at uni everyone's in the same boat...

I would love to start up a woodwind instrument, though I am going to concentrate on my current instruments

Nicki they are going amazingly

Grade 3 for cello is in about 5 weeks (oo nerves are kicking in) and grade 5 for singing in march

I also have a singing competition in a local festival at the end of october, I can't wait, also I have a solo in "In the bleak midwinter" For a local cathedral in december

I have g5 practical musicianship in november.

I think I can pass it, and my teacher sais it's OK, but...
Chaos_91
Sep 30 2006, 07:41 PM
What is practical musicianship? I've only heard of it rarely and no-one I know has done it
lizbun
Sep 30 2006, 07:45 PM
It's instead of G5 theory. You have to do it to do G6~G8 on any instrument.
You improvise, sight read, transpose and 'spot the mistakes'. No scales, no pieces.
I'm doing it with the piano, but you can do it with other intruments.
Chaos_91
Sep 30 2006, 07:47 PM
Ahh interesting, I love music theory though so I'm going to stay with it

Maybe in the near future also try out practical musicianship, may be useful
