Ofc, I enjoy the actual festive season... But the amount of hype the shops give it ridiculous!! Why can't they lay off until late November, at least??

I never think of christmas as presents and shopping madness... mostly the fun of playing/singing christmas carols and pieces
and coming home to a warm room to sit in and log on to the forums

Hehe. We played it in orchestra a while ago. However, I think I wasn't good enough at the time to even want to play trills that were written in, let alone invent ones!

I still don't see how I managed it, my fingers were all stiff and frozen. Heating at school doesn't come on until november I think, and it doesn't work in music. Typical.

Our music room (in a new building, built over the summer which is very swish and cost several million pounds) is freezing. They put in air con but no one's really sure if there's heating, or if it works... or how to turn it on, it seems
I had double music first on Wednesday and I was sure I was going to be cold for the rest of the day, but luckily the sixth form common room is nice and warm

Lol. I couldn't remember the key code for the sports hall door, so I looked very stupid when another sixth former came along and it just opened first time. I'd been putting the wrong code in
and thought the door was broken....Sbhoa: I don't know, but they sound tasty!

Well, you'll find it easier when you've seen a few others, then you have something to compare it to, and you know what you want in a uni.

Not too bad. I reckon I'm about a third of the way through. However, it's quality that counts, not quantity, and I'm not too sure about the quality of this!!

Nah, just University of Liverpool I think. Seems to have a better track record for Comp Sci.
Durham is quieter than Newcastle - it depends what you want from a uni, how good you want the nightlife to be, how many students you want in a uni, campus/non campus, what do you want?

I've heard Durham is quieter than Newcastle.It is. Smaller, and much fewer pubs and clubs. I like Durham, it's got a nice atmosphere to it. I feel like it's a bit too close to home for uni though, I'd like to feel more independent by 'properly' going away!
