How strange for your computer to do that, Dina.
Nicki, that's really sad. He had cancer, I gather.
Ambs, something like that, I think. Bit before my time...

Ooh it is!

Any biscuit goes well with clotted cream - pink wafers, all forms of digestives, ginger nuts, cookies, etc. You can tell I've done a lot of research in this field!

Cheers to you all -
Have a lovely evening too.
I am going now, but thought I'd leave you a greeting.
Got to sort some toothache out, as I have to play tenor sax at rehearsal tonight.. could be late when I get back.
See yous...
I have just seen how ridiculous that is!! I don't NEED toothache to play sax with, I need reeds and mouthpiece, ligature and sax and a few pieces of music!! It would be better if I left the ache at home --

Afternoon all!
Just been having some fun pottering through the Choral Public Domain Library. Picking on any work at random that catches my eye, and if it has both a PDF of the score and a midi or MP3 of the tune, calling both up and singing along.
Not particularly constructive, but good fun

Other than that, today I almost bought a laptop. I've been on the point of getting a laptop for months - and Misterjay said at one stage I could have one for my birthday, only we never got round to choosing and getting it.
And I keep seeing laptops and thinking "yikes, I'm not paying THAT much!" And then today I saw one and thought "OK I could have that." And then I went to order it....and it was out of stock.
Rainbow
Oct 10 2006, 02:48 PM
Awww, hope you find a decent one that's in stock soon, they're really good. I got one for my 16th birthday and Christmas present that year, so that I could do music composition (Sibelius was messing up our family computer) and I'm using it right now to talk to you lot.

Yes, the music is copyright, the words are copyright and the performance is copyright. E-mailing me a track for which I haven't paid would be breach of all those three copyrights, and would effectively be stealing from the composer, lyricist and artist.

The reason I want one is that all my music stuff is upstairs and the computer's downstairs. So each time I want to do something on Finale, or generate a file or do a recording, I have to run up and down the stairs.

Think Mrs Next-Door must be having one of her Market Research afternoons, there are tons of cars parked outside, and as usual they aren't leaving us room to get in or out of our drive

There's a free public car park about 75m away, why can't they use that instead of cluttering up our close?
