Oddball, I hope you have a great time at your concert! What's it for? Who with (not the name of whatver group, just what sort of group I mean)

It was for the reopening of our town's railway station - our school had artwork up there and stuff... It was an arrangement for Flugelhorn, trumpet and alto sax....worked quite well actually!

Make it up! We had to do all about this at GCSE. To get higher marks put in things like "Usually", "Sometimes", and then opinions like "I don't like the [job] and would prefer to do [job]". Opinions are VERY important.
sarah-flute
Sep 8 2005, 07:57 PM
If in doubt, make it up. In my experience language teachers are interested in how good your language is rather than what you actually DO do at home... We used to make up totally bizarre dialogues for GCSE just to make things more interesting (in fact I distinctly remember doing that in our first year German too - a scenario at a petrol station where someone drove off without paying!) - as long as it's in French, or whatever language you're studying, then that's the main thing. Pretend you're your mum or something!

Morning all. Or should it be Bonjour toute la monde?
Having forgotten to go to a flute lesson yesterday (although I did manage to get there eventually) I'm going to see what I can forget to do today. My teaching timetable is completely up in the air for the next couple of weeks, so I'll teach anyone who turns up.
Anyone fancy a flute lesson along with their morning coffee?

Morning Andante - I would love one - but I THINK I have a student turning up shortly!
I had a child turn up yesterday in the middle of my daughter's 19th birthday party (sorry if it wasn't clear - but try reading the letter!)

Teach meeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
I have just had such an amusing phone call. One of our brownies had lost all the health forms for pack holiday today (even though they were purposely photocopiedo nto neon pink paper so they can't be lost), and her mother phoned saying could we e mail to her. Then she phoned back saying "never mind, I found them". She thought the bright pink was her kids drawing paper... :-S

It will come back when you've recovered, never fear.
Grade 6 scales are the worst set of scales imaginable. Once you've learned those, it's all downhill from there.
