Kodaly got a lot of things right, but i just don't subscribe to the whole approach, and neither do I view it as a panacea. That does not mean I'm not intersted in his philosophy, and one of my local colleagues is a Kodaly specialist so I have had a lot of info from her.
Good luck with the training. Anything that helps us understand what it is to think musically is worthwhile exploring.

It sounds quite a funny sight to watch 
Our violins get told to breath in orchestra so that thier phrasing matches that of the wind and brass

Hello everyone!! Or, should I say, anyone??
Went to a really great concert with a friend last night by a group called Graffiti Classics. I would try to explain what they do, but I think the website does it much better - www.graffiticlassics.com
Anyway, the concert started about 25 minutes late because the double bassist was stuck on the motorway and then couldn't find his way round Andover But once it got started it was a great night of music and laughs, even when, or should I say particularly when, the bssist's trousers split 
(it really wasn't his day!!)
