Endorphins I think.

I'm reading George Orwell's nineteen eighty-four - very good, but tough going at some points....

Good book. If you enjoy it there's one by a Russian author... It's called "We", & the chap's called Zamyatin. Similar sort of thing. Also, Brave New World and Farenheit... argh, always forget the number... 481 or something by (I think)Ray Bradbury.
Jane Austen is great - all her books are good.

Maybe there is just too much change in your life right now, and your brain is therefore on overtime and won't switch off to let you sleep.
Try doing a brain dump just before you go to sleep. Put a paper and pencil next to your bed and just right a list (sorry images of CE came to mind then

) of everything on your mind. Add to it if you think of anything else while trying to sleep. If you wake in the night with something on your mind, add it to the list.
The theory is that the brain can relax if it knows that the thoughts are captured.
Of course there's always the risk that the list is so long it takes you all night to write it anyway

My brain is never switched on let alone on overtime

I've found the answer!!! I was actually looking for Sarah's Prokofiev flute sonata and I found this
You just need to LISTEN to the music.
"
What is Sonata?
• Sonata is in a class of drugs called sedative/hypnotics or sleep medications. Sonata affects chemicals in your brain that may become unbalanced and cause insomnia.
• Sonata is used to treat insomnia. Sonata is for short-term use only--usually only a few days to two weeks. Longer-term use must be monitored closely by your doctor."
So you just need a dose of some Sonata or other for a couple of weeks. Maybe the Moonlight would be the most appropriate.

Well Andy, did you get shot yet?

Yes, cold's still here. I think the only person who can't get it is Bob! I would love an ice cube now but I can't

Anyway, the cold isn't any better. I actually slept off halfway while marking my student's appalling Grade 8 theory. And unfortunately it was the answers that were appalling, not the questions, sbhoa! When I checked in on him if he was done with his questions, guess what... I found him flat out sleeping soundly on the couch in the other room too!

Apparently he had been busy moving into a new place and was flat tired too. No wonder his answers have been so appalling!

I've had a really long day as I'm really tired from wind band residential at the weekend (they had a bit of trouble with some townies banging on the widows of the classrooms we were sleeping in at 3 am on sat night) and i almost fell asleep in chemistry. early night I'm thinking!
