Some of the kids in Pepper (the show I'm working on) are right little worms. They think the show would fall apart without them and they are such drama queens mad.gif. Thankfully I don't have much to do with them.

I can't do that! Actually...the producer is encouraging me to do things like that - I have to take her place for 2 of the shows ohmy.gif

They're all aged between 8 and 16. The worst ones are the 13/14 year-olds who sing the solos in Shine rolleyes.gif

Music shop in Salisbury. Did quite alot yesterday, tidying and updating a database, but today I really didn't do much at all... served a few customers, but spent most of the time playing and electronic piano and looking through the sheet music. I'm gonna buy so much stuff at the end of the week, but I do get a discount biggrin.gif

I'm usually up North, it just so happens that I'm on 'holiday' just now. I miss the mountains sad.gif.

I considered going to the proms in London yesterday but decided against it as it was some sort of Italian Opera. Not really 'my thing', I must say.

I don't seem to be able to enjoy vocal performances of anything written after about 1750 ph34r.gif. There is something hauntingly beautiful about the clear, crisp tones of vocal Renaissance music - absence of the wobbalato that ruins performances of many later works, and of course the harmonies... wub.gif.

No, I can't recall ever listening to the Tallis Scholars.

sad.gif There are only a few things I miss from home - 1) My dog 2) My mother and 3) The sun. We've had two days of torrential rain and thunder where it brightens up in the evening, and then it goes dark really early.

I've not really been homesick at all to be honest, there are just a few things I miss (which is surprising as when I came down 2 years ago I cried for 3 days ph34r.gif). Actually, I'm beginning to feel like this is home now - I can't really envisage returning to 'normality'!

I do miss mince and tatties though laugh.gif. Perhaps I could ask to cook tomorrow... *she says bravely!*

Thunder? In the Highlands?! We haven't had any since...well, it was probably 2 years ago.

I do like it here, but I miss the sense of knowing exactly where I am, and understanding the back roads and bus routes! Oh, and it's odd being away from the coast, whereas usually we drive or walk along the Cromarty coast every day.

I was sort of on my own. My Nan and I were staying with my late (then alive rolleyes.gif) Uncle in Warwickshire, but I came down here for a few days without her.

I seem to keep thinking about apple pie and custard too, but that's not particularly Scottish is it? blink.gif
