What are you up to today?
I've just been for an organ lesson in York Minster!

I'll be having them every two weeks. They'll usually be in the evening because they have restrictions on volume throughout the day - you have to play quietly between 10am and 6pm.
Let me know the news. My best wishes.

They've made up their own game involving bows, arrows and wands (?), at the same time playing mummies and daddies (is there some Freudian message in there somewhere?). As there is no blood being spilt (currently), I think I'll hide here in front of the computer (in between getting some food on) until I hear a blood-curdling scream......unfortunately one of them is 'baby' so there is a lot of crying going on already....
I know it would be stewed by now, but any chance of a cup of tea.
Phil if you want to know what Fibromyalgia is check out this hyperlink
Fibromyalgia leaflet ARCI'm feeling really tired today. I woke up with a stiff back, but now things are just confined to my knees and ankles. Still as with most things that are chronic you do learn to live with them. It can be limiting, but fortunately thanks to being given adequate pain relief I normally manage quite well. I have good days and bad days. C'est la Vie. As for my french insult, my husband came out with a diatribe about how you must not push children and how in England he would have called the police about him assulting his son. That gave me sufficient time to phrase the insult.
Matti had a bit of a run in with the metro, the next day he trapped his finger in a gate. Initally I was shouting Ooh la la, attention, the next the gate released his hand and with the exception of a bruised knuckle he was fine. On that occasion a wonderful French lady responded to the inital alarm, was glad he was OK and followed it up with us. We ended up having a pleasant chat whilst waiting for the train to arrive. I had my faith in humanity restored, and was pleased that I've now got to a level where I can at least raise an alarm, and respond to the next issue in a language other than English.

Put your feet up Jod, I'll gt you a cup.
I had a look at fibromyalgia earlier. It doesn't look like fun! Hope you're OK.
I'm not too bad at present.
Thanks for the tea. I think I should set my children a task to draw a picture or write about the best thing they did in Paris. They are bound to be asked to do something similar for school next term, and Matti has collected all the tickets and things so along with hubby's pictures they could put together something really fun.

Oh you two wait until you have children... there's no chance of getting up due to free will then. You get up when the children are awake. Eventually they get to an age where they can go downstairs and turn on the telly, but sooner or later as you are quietly dosing you get jumped on and told "I'm hungry!"

Good morning all! Lovely sunny day again.....
Good news......Little Looney (aged 7) finally received her violin grade 1 cert today and she passed......with a merit! Very pleased. She came down a little in her sightreading with 14 (better than me though - I boast an 11 in G5 piano which must be one of the lowest marks ever!) The important thing is that she enjoyed her exam and wasn't at all daunted by playing in front of a stranger, in actual fact her exact words to me immediately afterwards were "when i can do another exam?"
So.....anyone for a champagne breakfast? With smoked salmon and scrambled eggs?
