Hey all,
I was just wondering,
Where do most people live?
I heard people talking about UK, US, India, and other places. Please tell me because I want to know where most people are coming from!

In saying that, I'm assuming people participate your area.

There you go then ! I did say some folk hadn't heard of it.
It's held on Whit Friday with the Whit walks.
A lot of villages walk on a Sunday now, but up our end we still walk on the Friday.
All the schools close and a lot of businesses do too for that one day.
It's a major event.
On the run up to the contest, I sit in our back garden listening to the bands practising over the valley. It's lovely.
The bands are absolutley brilliant. Definatley not to be missed.
If you can get to one, it's worth going.
Heres a web site to give you an insight.
Happy reading!

I've had a look at the website, sounds like fun. I'm from quite a bit furthrer north though (a small town north of Preston in the Ribble Valley) so that's probably why I hadn't heard of it.

Do you get a lot of wind there YoungPianist??
YoungPianist
Mar 21 2004, 09:06 PM
In Oklahoma Louise?
Oh, yes, there is a lot of wind. It's very windy everyday. But it makes up for the very hot summers we have, because if we didn't have the wind it would be scorching! A few summers ago, I think in 1998, it was 112 degrees F and without the wind we would have burned!!
You can see the weekly weather forcast for my hometown here:
http://www.weather.com/weather/local/74074...LocalUndeclaredIt's usually in the 70's around now which is very nice for us.
Hope I helped with your question and more.

Before you offend anyone, Belfast (which you correctly realised is in Ireland) is actually in the UK, and that Northern Ireland is part of the UK.
It's only if someone lives in EIRE - the Republic of Ireland - that someone lives in Ireland but that you can call seperate from the UK.

And in most countries saying 'Whatever' after someone has educated you about something - even if I'm educating you in Geography on a Music forum - is considered really rude.
What you are supposed to say is 'I'm sorry I was wrong and I hope noone took offence'.
