My A-level music teachers have asked me to buy the grade4 jazz piano book(which I have!)because they think that as part of my performance I could play a jazz piano piece. I am at grade 5 standard on classical piano and just wondered if it would be hard for me to adjust to play jazz. I have around 6 weeks to learn it. Any suggestions on which piece to play. Im thinking of 'undecided'

My absolute favourite from the Grade 4 book is "Ikon" (the last one in the book). "Oscar's Boogaloo" and "Original Rags" are also great fun, but I think you can do more in the way of showing off your musicality with "Ikon" - if it's your sort of piece, of course.
