I play the oboe 2 but I don't know how you can play a really long piece and not have to stop in between to get your breath back, and how on earth do you turn the page or do you have someone to do it for you??????????????

What now? It's not that funny!
saxlover
As I've said before...you've passed grade 2. That does not mean you are grade 3 piano
Car Expert
Well, I'm learning Grade 3 scales, though.
saxlover
So what? That does not make you grade 3 standard...just because you're learning a few scales
Car Expert
And I'm doing Grade 3 aural!
saxlover
i DON'T CARE- GET IT INTO YOUR HEAD

you are not grade 3 piano standard because you've only just passed grade 2. you might be working towards it but nothing else
Car Expert
Fine, OK, as you are cleverer than me!
saxlover
I am indeed- you've just got something correct for once
Car Expert
That's what Anne Robinson usually says!

well i've only played for 7.5 years and my teacher reckons that i should have no problem passing the Dip, but we're working on a international competition first, so it might wait 1 to 2 years. biggrin.gif
Dave_Organ
I've done grade 8 piano, singing and organ (working towards DipABRSM on them and ARCO in organ) and then grade 6 trumpet.

Hi i passed grade 5 (but not taken theory yet) but playing grade 6
Looking at my exam certificates makes me realise i need to put my thinking hat on and pass some more exams-havent taken any in 15 years.
Ive 2 passes,2 merits and 1 distinction ).Would i be able to by practising on a Yamaha cvp 303 ?? instead of a normal piano ( i tend to take lessons on one though)
nomsi
Hey!
I'm around grade 7 in piano, grade 6 in flute and around grade 3 in alto sax cos i only started it about 4 months ago and i haven't donre any exams in it yet. Also did grade 5 theory about 3 years ago. It's good to get it over with as soon s poss. Hopefully doing grade 6 or 7 theory soon.

Everyone seems so much better than me! I only play the flute and although I've taken both Grade 2 and 3 this term it seems I'm a long way behind some of you! dry.gif
