Well ....I don't know if I've passed but....what do I do now?!
I know people will say rest but I don't want to! I love playing it too much!
I've got quite a bit of repertoire that is on the grade 7 and 8 syllabus ..should I work to get that to performance standard?

Do what ever you want to do with your sax...play old music and get it to a better standard get new music for a challenge.....start preparing for your start of term 'audition' in Sept/Oct??

Basically it is to check taht you haven't 'slacked' since your audition and now. Just play something that you are really confident with. I played what I auditioned with and a lot of people do that.

Play anything you want to, just buy any books and play, to keep up your reading level. But, you could also work on an audition piece but not so seriously for now, have a little rest (but still play)! Hope this makes sense!!

I think you ought to learn and play more repertoire pieces Grade 6 - 8 as you've only really learnt your exam pieces on sax and when you get to uni you'll be learning lots of new stuff. Becoming familiar with the sax repertoire out there will be very useful.
You could also try playing some jazz!

Or you could come be the instrumental section of our samba band!!!
We would have more, excpe the people who can play instruments well enoguh are already in the percussion bit of samba, and if you take us away you have no percussion section!

Have you played any of the Paule Maurice 'Tableaux de Provence'? My son's working on several of the movements at the moment, and it's a lovely piece (a bit pricey though - around £15).

Unfortunately I am having to work full time and also teach in the evenings...so my time is slightly limited!

Bit of a stupid idea, but how about Grade 6/7 Sax...sightreading?
i.e. you don't even peek at the music before you enter the exam room; it could be quite interesting!

I'd never try that with a high grade exam!
