Hi,
I've just started grade 8 violin and I was wondering if anybody is doing it as well and if they can give me any suggestions as to which pieces are quite good to do. I'm thinking of doing Vivaldi/Handel/Mozart for list A. I have no idea what to do for list b and for list c i'm thinking of Scott Skinner's the President/Milhaud--le Printemps. I'm really confused right now and if anybody can help, that'll be great.
Thanks

Vivaldi i jsut didnt like the double stops in it so gave that one up....am currently playing the Handel.
The C list is the worst list...can't find any of the music in shops and whatnot. B isn't oo bad but i think the Tartini is in there and that's quite fun (cos it's only the first movement - second one looks like a killer.)

I've got my Grade 8 tomorrow (help!); I'm doing Handel for A, Svendsen 'Romance' for B and Bartok for C.
I love all of them, they're so much fun to play, except the Bartok has triple stopping in it (and it's not nice easy chords!). Despite that, I highly recommend it, and the Svendsen is just gorgeous.
