I'm interested in how often you practice - also is it regular and controlled or just depending on how you feel and what else you're doing that day?
Would more practice help?
Finally, do you practice alone or with others - or even in public in, say, sessions at a pub?

You really need an extra choice for "it depends"......
Do you count choir/orchestra rehearsals with others (probably 2 or 3 x 2 hours a week in my case depending on the time of year)?
Do you count weekend days as opposed to weekdays - weekend days tend to get a couple of around-an-hour sessions unless I'm off doing something else musical (eg. a rehearsal, a concert or being the visiting soloist in a local church)?
Then again, should I include weekdays when I'm employed (not a lot of time to practise and too tired to sing when I get home) or weekdays when I'm out of work (which are much more like weekend days only more so)?
I try to sing something every day - but that doesn't always work out. But I can't keep to a specific schedule on the lines of "I will sing from 19.30 hours to 20.30 hours every night" because life don't work like that!
So some days it'll be almost none, others it'll be several hours......
Cheers

I'm so glad you mentioned this - I was beginning to think it was just me who did different amounts each day - and my pattern of some days, almost none, and other days several hours is exactly like yours. Thank you - I was worried I was in a minority!!

If there was an 'I don't practise everyday, I practise when I'm not overloaded with other stuff' option, I would have voted for that. So I voted 15 mins, on average that is about how much practise I get on the days I do practise.
The joys of work.

I bet most of us vary daily - but if we add up all sessions in a week and divide by 7 it would give a good representation.
I do 40 to 60 mins work days and 3 to 4 hours weekends and wednesdays.
(but then I'm addicted I think

I usually manage at least 45 mins a day (of actual practice on my own, not including other playing), usually at least an hour sometimes much more, and there's rarely a day when I don't do at least 30 mins. It does vary though, if I am very busy or unwell then it slips, and then sometimes I'll manage well over an hour every day for quite a while.

I aim to do an hour and a half, at the same time each day (I like the discipline of a routine) but sometimes the practice is shortened by starting late or finishing a bit early, especially if I'm tired after a day at work. I may play for a bit longer at weekends when the neighbours are away, so I can play at full volume on the acoustic piano...

I try to practise for half an hour a day during the week and longer at weekends. I'd love to be able to practise more but I just don't seem to have enough time.

I'm totallly addicted. I practice for an hour each lunch time and for 1.5 - 2 or more in the evenings. On weekends, if I am home alone....(which isn't often) I could practice all day with little breaks in between to rest and perhaps clean a little.

oh an hour, if only I managed an hour!!! My concentration levels are slipping by the time I get to my piano and my eyelids are shutting! Why oh why can't I be sleepy for work and bright eyed for my practice!!!

I clicked 30 minutes. It's very erratic. Once I sit down I might play for hours, but I go days without playing at all when I'm busy. Oh, and it's 2 instruments - I'll go weeks only playing one, then the other for a few weeks. Juggling both is tricky. Like I said, erratic.

As an adult learner violinist I probably do about 2 hrs-plus a day usually divided into 2 sessions, 5 days a week. I sometimes get a few minutes in on the other 2 days.
Thankfully circumstances allow me this time.
