What are all those and how to be advance member?

you'll have to post more often in order to become an advance member...i think it's about 20 posts?? can't really remember sorry...

50 posts makes you a member, 100 an advanced member.

Or the other option is that the people with 1000-9999 posts are super members and the people with 10,000+ posts are super duper members!

hehe except if you had super-duper members everyone would just be posting absolute rubbish, or just smileys or something to get that! so then you would have to make another one for people with even higher post numbers! and it would go on and on and on until no-one could find their way around the forums because of the number of threads and posts everywhere!

So what is the good thing about posting a lot?

Good question! Quality not quantity, eh? People with over 10,000 posts or whatever clearly have too much time on their hands. What's so 'Advanced' about posting a lot anyway? Strange choice of category.

I think it's a matter to show off to others....people with heaps of posts seemed to be "better looking" to others. People who have posted like 8000 times...

If you have nothing to say then it is usually best to say nothing.

still a member in the last post. this will be number 100. Will I be suddenly advanced?? not bad for a beginner if it is Ok I'm in silly mode...... blame it on nerves for the concert today. And I'm not even playing!!!!

The word "Newbie" is so patronising, coming with the connotation of wet-behind-the-ears, green and the like.

Why bother with that classification? Or at least be uniform so that when someone's done 100 posts they become Oldies.
Wouldn't "new member" be okay (since the site operators feel that musicians are too dim to see that if someone's only done 5 posts they are "new" which they may not be. Some members who joined a while ago still havent enough messages to reach "member".)

Nat you could be a ......scolarship proffesional member for going over 5000. And anyone else!

What about Poster Extraordinaire for 5,000 posts and Supreme Grand Member for over 10,000?
