im now 16, and im likely to go oversea after next year for my medicine foundation course.and the university is located at the capital, which is sooooooooo far from my hometown here.and i've just taken up violin this year.should i go on taking violin or leave it there and quit the lessons. as the foundation course r expected to be a hard and busy work.i would be impossible to learn violin spontaneously .if i continue taking the violin lessons, i would then be ''half way through'' hanging on nowhere.hmmm...what should i do.actually violin is my second instrument, im grade 4 in piano now.
some urgent suggestions needed as i need time to think over all of them.

Hi. Maybe you should take a break from violin lessons for a year whilst doing the course. You can still take your violin away with you and just play for fun whenever you feel like it. Then you can continue with lessons when the foundation year is over.
(I think you're really brave by the way - going overseas to study. I'm sure it will be a great experience for you - good luck with it).

I think you should take your violin and play it. Try to advance a little by yourself and look for a local teacher on a casual basis if you get stuck. You don't need to take it too seriously but music can be such a relaxing thing particularly during an intense course of study.
Good luck
