Hi,
I'm hoping to do grade 5 cello soon and wondered if anyone had any advice on which pieces to do? I don't want to go out and buy pieces and then find that I really hate them... Which ones are nice? If anyone else out there is doing grade 5 cello it'd be good to hear from you!

son is just finishing the suzuki book 3 at the moment although he doesn' t learn by the suzuki method. There are two grade 5 pieces in it, Gavotte by Lully and Humoreske by Dvojak, both very familiar sounding pieces (as are most in the book) and we like both of them. I can't imagine many people not liking the Humoreske, maybe the Lully might not be to everyones taste. Son says both are quite easy to play with the Gavotte being easiest.
