Indeed! He has the experience in the position at least, having worked with Sven for so many years. I'm not though convinced that we will win anything massive in his reign, we will see!

Right. I'll be singing 'I'm forever blowing bubbles' from now until Sunday in order to inspire the Hammers.
Barry-clari, I'm trusting the Addicks will prevent Man U from coming second.

Quite a lot of people use that phrase at school - there's some posters around the school saying "Up the O's", and even my Head of Year said that in afternoon registration.

I'll say they'll make the UEFA Cup next season.

My dad and I have been doing predictions for each game since the beginning of 2006 (apart from the lower leagues, Scottish & Irish leagues and most League 1 games), and 2 weeks ago, we were level-pegging, but at the end of this week (haven't entered today's results yet), I'm 23 points ahead!

An Henry hat-trick to say goodbye to Highbury.

It's kind of a pre-season friendly Competition with other International teams. Newcastle have been in it a few times and have one it in the past. Think they deserve better. I wonder what Alan Shearer will do next?

Also, the winner of the Intertoto gets qualification to the Uefa cup, I think that's how Middlesborough got into the Uefa cup this season, by winning the Intertoto last season.

And bad luck to Gretna. So near, yet so far...

Football News- Grays Athletic have won the FA Trophy after a 2-0 win over Woking.
- Swansea have reached the final of the League 1 play-off final after a 2-0 win over Brentford (agg: 3-1). Looks like Brentford and Sunderland won't meet again next season.
- Partick Thistle have been promoted to Division 1 after beating Peterhead on penalties.
- Alloa have retained their Division 2 status, despite losing 2-1 to Berwick in their 2nd leg of the play-off final. Their 4-0 win in their first leg kept them in the division.
- Tamworth have avoided relegation to the Conference North after Canvey Island have pulled out of the Conference. They will be playing in the Ryman Premier League next season.
- (Yesterday) In the first leg League 2 play-off semi-finals, Grimsby beat Lincoln 1-0 and Cheltenham beat Wycombe 2-1.
Just to let you know I'll be posting a poll for the top 20 football matches on Thursday (after the Barcelona-Arsenal champions league final).
