Thank you Charlton - Reading are now only 3 points behind Portsmouth, and in a UEFA Cup place biggrin.gif

Who did Charlton beat?
Car Expert
Portsmouth at Fratton Park.

Oh, thanks CE!

By the way, on the way to orchestra yesterday, we drove past where the Holiday Inn had been damaged and it was a good job I think that the Leicester game was called off.
Car Expert
Reading are down to 8th now...

No way back for Wycombe now...sad.gif

And 4-0 to Orient! ohmy.gif biggrin.gif

That's us out of the FA Cup then...

FA Cup 5th Round Draw
Chelsea v Blackpool or Norwich
Watford v Ipswich
Preston v Man City
Plymouth v Derby County
Man Utd v Reading
Arsenal or Bolton v Blackburn
Bristol City or Middlesbrough v West Bromwich Albion
Fulham v Tottenham

Considering the links between Birmingham, Liverpool, Arsenal and Reading in the last two seasons of FA and Carling Cup competitions, I thought we would get Arsenal or Bolton, but we didn't. Plymouth at home would've been ideal (yes, we did lose to them last season...rolleyes.gif).

It seems like Chelsea are getting the easy ties; they had Macclesfield and Forest at home, now they've got Blackpool or Norwich at home!

3-2! Now only 1 point behind Portsmouth biggrin.gif

A good result for Charlton too. It keeps Wigan within range. smile.gif
barry-clari
5 minutes gone, and Charlton are already behind.

That didn't take long, did it..... sad.gif

1-1.

Feel better.

Or is it better to do a Leicester and lost in the 89th minute?

We're going to Cardiff! (with our B team.)

You couldn't donate some players from your C team (haha) to Leicester could you! Or would they be too high calibre for the Championship? biggrin.gif laugh.gif

Arsenal actually have quite a lot of players out on loan in the Championship: Larsson has just signed permanently for Birmingham after a loan spell, Bendtner and Muamba are also on loan at Birmingham; Gilbert is at Cardiff; Lupoli at Derby and O'Cearuill at Brighton. Most of these played in the Carling Cup for the Gunners last season.
nicki_flute
Oh right! Well, maybe a few would like to come Leicester's way!

Reading are now in the top 6, and 40 points should be enough for Premiership football next season biggrin.gif

Charlton lost, and Wigan won. Charlton go to Old Trafford next. Very sadly, if Charlton lose to Man U, and Wigan and Sheffield United win next weekend, I think that'll seal our fate. An eight point gap will I think be too big to recover from..... sad.gif

I wasn't here last week; I went on holiday in Norfolk, but I was really impressed with how Reading played on Saturday and surprised about the result. Hopefully we can celebrate when they beat them at the Mad Stad biggrin.gif

FA Cup Sixth Round Draw
Middlesbrough or West Brom v Manchester United or Reading mellow.gif
Arsenal or Blackburn v Manchester City mellow.gif
Chelsea v Tottenham mellow.gif
Plymouth v Watford biggrin.gif

I am averagely pleased with the tie Reading have got. Middlesbrough and West Brom are beatable teams, but I hope we face Middlesbrough because I don't want to end up facing West Brom again (don't need a reality check wink.gif).

I am looking forward to the Plymouth-Watford game the most. It's a good tie for Plymouth, and they are doing well at the moment, so I hope they make the semis.

Good away wins for my local teams Orient and Dagenham tonight biggrin.gif

And Leicester won again wink.gif

They actually won because of an own goal rather than losing!!
Boo Radley
Couldn't have asked for a better draw. I know we're still the underdogs but it should be a fairly close match. *dreams of semis* rolleyes.gif

Our unbeaten run in 2007 has ended sad.gif. I'd much rather face West Brom now laugh.gif

But Leyton Orient won again to increase their gap over the relegation zone to 4 points biggrin.gif

Great win for Charlton too smile.gif

A pity Wigan have also just won, but it's a start.

We do really need to beat Wigan at the Valley now.......

At the moment, I'm hanging around waiting for the league to start again (it's a summer season in this country). My beloved Cork City FC's first match will be away to Waterford United on the 9th March (k.o. 7.45pm).
Just in time for me to finish work and scoot off in my little car up the road to Waterford smile.gif

By the way, Car Expert, has Alan Bennett played any matches for Reading yet?

I am now an honoury supporter of West Bromich Albion after going to watch them vs Plymouth Argyle in plymouth! My boyfriend's family are mad on them so I had no choice. But I don't reallu follow it anyway...

True. And we still have to play Wigan, Man City and Sheffield United.

But Man City have played two games less. Now, not wishing ill fortune on another team......

Poor old Dagenham - they concede an 89th minute equaliser against Stafford Rangers and now the gap at the top of the Conference is 8 points sad.gif
